Description: This incredible HAND-CRAFTED Mid-Century round astray is a Work of Art. It is Ceramic Tile, Copper Wire and has a 1956 Bronze Mexican 20 Centavos Coin embedded as a feature. The Value of the Coin could be a Consideration for Coin Collectors as well as Vintage ashtray fans. The ashtray measures 9" across the dish from the edge of each cigarette holder. One photo shows the height as 2". The construction began with a matt black bowl on the bottom attached to a copper circle wire that support the legs welded to that wire you see circling the dish in the close-up photos. It is definitely tightly connected. When the tile pieces were set, a heavy base mix was used. This ashtray would be perfect for outdoor use as it will not blow away! It weighs 1lb.11 oz without a box and shipping materials. For those who like original pieces made likely between 1940 - 1970, this ashtray is a survivor to consider. It is both shiny and textured which is what makes it interesting It does make a statement because it is unique. The plus is that the embedded bronze Mexican Centavos coin might be collectable.
