Description: Beautiful Holly Ruby centerpiece bowl from Fostoria's giftware line. This bowl was produced for only two years, 1981 & 1982. The bowl features a raised pattern of holly leaves on the underside of the bowl which can be seen through the transparent glass. The bowl also features a cadmium glow under black light on the underside of the bowl which is more pronounced towards the base. This would be a wonderful holiday centerpiece, but it is certainly pretty enough to be enjoyed year-round. Condition notes: The bowl appears to be in excellent vintage condition. I found no chips or cracks. I found one area with a fine scratch and a small fleabite on the edge of the holly pattern. The scratch is about 2 mm long and the fleabite is about 1 to 1.5 mm long. There is a small amount of wear on the bottom rim, and I found an inclusion in the glass at the bottom of the bowl. It is more visible from the bottom than the top. Some air bubbles are present and there is also a curious anomaly on the bottom rim which is showing up as yellow in the photos. It isn't a chip, crack or bruise as far as I can tell as it is completely smooth in this area on both sides. It is possible it is a straw mark catching the light in a strange way.
