Description: A classic set of 6 vintage linen and organdy Madeira hand-embroidered cocktail napkins. These are the quintessential cocktail napkins. Each spell the word cocktail. White embroidered linen letters C-O-C-K on organdy on the left side of the napkin. Linen letters T-A-I-L spelled out on organdy on the right side of the napkin. All white on white with a center of white linen. Finished with a white linen and organdy scalloped border with a white embroidered edge. Articles that discuss the phenomenon of cocktail napkins feature this specific pattern. The set is in very, very good condition. No holes, stains or wear. Very slight area of wear around a few letters. Not noticeable. See top near T in last photo. Hand-laundered and pressed. The napkins measure approx. 7 1/2" X 5". Please view all photos.
