Description: Vintage 1940s trench coat. Difficult to find a women's trench coat from this era, straight out of your favourite film noir. Classic beige in colour, fabric feels like a light gabardine, with leather front buttons, notch collar, light shoulder pads, fabric belt, angle pockets, satin lining, and comes with matching cap. Label is "Fashioned by Debutogs, New York, For All Weather". Shown unpinned on a 34" bust, 26" waist, 35" hip mannequin, and even though this could be worn by a variety of sizes, cinched by the belt, I believe it would look better on measurements larger than these. Measurements taken flat and doubled where necessary, uncinched by belt: Bust: 42"Waist: 38"Shoulder: 17" Sleeve: 23"Hip: 44" Length: 45" (top of back collar to hem) Very good, wearable condition on the whole, a little TLC is needed -- lining is hanging a little lower than the outer hem. Back shoulder panel needs retacking. Small seam separation at back, tiny hole on bodice that is concealed by the collar. Button at lapel needs resewn. Belt, while functional, has no backing, and is showing some wear at buckle. Some very light discolouration along backs of sleeves. Fabric lines at cuffs, as if the sleeves have been lengthened at some point. See photos for samples of all flaws. Sold as is. Please let me know if you have any questions!
