We recommend you place some metal tape over the end of the car so the 3M VHB tape can really get a clean smooth surface to stick to. Easy way to do it is to catch about 1/4" of the tape on the other side, get it straight, and then pull back over and press smooth on top. Now the surface is perfect to put down the 3M tape and then the weights. Test the center of gravity before you tape or glue the weights on. If you have a track, you can push it to the limit and get close to 5/8" in front of the back axle. If you do not have a track, or the track you will race on is wood, set the COG to closer to 7/8" in front of the axle and tape the weights there. (This assumes your car wood is about 1 oz in weight.
