Description: You will receive unrooted cuttings (quantity of your choosing), each approximately 6β long, from our Longevity Spinach growing in sunny Florida. Home grown naturally using regenerative methods with lots of love and zero chemicals or pesticides. You will receive unrooted cuttings just like those in the pictures. These cuttings are cut fresh to order. I strip the leaves and wrap the bottoms in wet paper towels to retain moisture and package them with great care for safe shipping. Growing Info & TipsLongevity Spinach is super easy to grow from cuttings. It roots quite quickly, usually within a few weeks, and from there it will grow fast and large enough that you will have a bountiful harvest from these cuttings within the year! It grows as a perennial in Zones 9-11 and with frost protection and can be grown as an annual or in greenhouses in Zones 4+. I particularly love growing it as an edible ground cover near the base of some of my fruit trees as part of my orchard floor. It grows well in sun and part shade. It likes well-drained soil and once established is rather drought tolerant. It is overall just a very easy to grow low maintenance plant that thrives in the summer heat. Its spread is easily maintained to your liking by simply harvesting the greens & tips to eat. Yummy!Care and growing advice will be included with your shipment.Start the cuttings in pots with a nice with pre- moistened potting mix, burying the stem of each cutting about 1.5-2β into the soil. I like to start the cutting in pots outside under my trees for some partial shade. Keep the soil moist but not soggy! You should see new growth and roots within a few weeks time (2-4 weeks). Once established, you can move them into to ground or continue to grow them in containers. Taste and PreparationLongevity Spinach is easy to grow and has a nice crunchy texture and mild flavor. I enjoy eating it mixed with other greens in my salads, and incorporating it into cooked dishes and smoothies! Yummy! Please Note: All of my cuttings are fresh and viable. Growing plants is fun! The majority of the time it is a success but sometimes itβs not. This just is the way it is with nature and gardening. I hope you experience success with all the cuttings, however because I am not there to plant them, I cannot be responsible for rooting failure due to improper planting or climate conditions etc. I do include a detailed note with planting advice with your order to help ensure your success. Shipping of Cuttings: I ship my cuttings via the Postal Service, USPS, as a First Class package with tracking. I will freshly cut the cuttings on the same day that i ship them to you. I will package them in a moist paper towel with great care to ensure safe delivery to you. These are fresh cuttings that will need to be planted upon their arrival to you. Due to regulations, I cannot ship this item to AZ, CA, HI & PR. If your shipping address is to any of these states your order will be cancelled.
