Description: DETAILS: Original homecoming program for Arkansas Agricultural, Mechanical and Normal College (AM&N) vs Louisiana Normal (Grambling, La). The program has a strong emphasis on Black football as well as the African American fraternities on campus. The event was held in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Saturday, November 2, 1946. Program is illustrated with numerous photos of both football teams, their coaching staff as well as prominent figures at both schools. Also picture are a number of the African American fraternities at the black colleges. There are several reference lists in the program as well as names of donors, patrons and prominent community members. In addition there are several business advertisements which we believe to by black owned establishments in the area. Measures 8" x 10" 3/4" inches with 24 paginated pages (28 pages in total). CONDITION: Front cover has detached from body. The cover has some wear which is visible ion the photos provide. The remaining pages are well attached to the body and fully intact.
