Description: On sale this Weekend only! For all that Andy Warhol was, in stripping away the 'Glitz & Glam' of his 'Pop" you are left with a body of work the constantly explores Death. These are the Warhol's I love; The Shadows, Race Riots, Piss paintings, and Disaster paintings. Visceral works that address Life & death. This is a rare opportunity to own a 'Warhol'! Sunday B Morning was a European Art Syndicate of 3 Dealers. One representing Belgium & France, Germany, and Holland. Warhol worked with these Dealers for this print. As such, some of these prints are signed by Warhol. Somehow, Warhol's relationship was dissolved with these Dealers. Thusly, referring to the Prints as "Unauthorized'. None the less they are mentioned in Warhol's Catalogue Raisonne for Prints, 1962-1987 (Page 214, see foto). These prints were printed in 1971. These are the most wanted Sunday B Morning signed/stamped in Black ink. Warhol also did Flowers, and Marilyn Monroe prints with Sunday B Morning. Later printed Sunday B Morning's (using 'Warhol's' imagery- are inferior in quality and execution even to the untrained eye). On offer are prints direct from Warhol's screens and supervision! As Warhol stated "I don't always use a rubber stamp for my signature but I turned towards the idea of a rubber stamp signature because I wanted to get away from style. I feel an Artist's signature is part of style and I don't believe in style" (Gerard Malanga, "A conversation with Andy Warhol, 1971). Prints signed by Andy Warhol can be $50K to $150K, as such, I jokingly refer to these as the poor man's Warhols! As they are Warhols just not authorized. The Image and size is Wow! Framed they transcend wall Art into a 'POP' Statement! This is the purpose of Art, to intrigue, to show others our taste, to enrich our lives, to live. If anything this tableaux makes 'Carpe Diem' urgent! This Lavender Electric Chair, as shown in pictures, is used on the Cover of the Book/Catalogue Andy Warhol: Death & Disasters. Menil Foundation, Houston, 1988. Condition: Age appropriate handling. Print may have surface cracking at edges. Print maybe Darker or lighter in colour (Each print is unique due to screen printing process). Fotos shown are for reference and not for this specific print. Print in considering Age is beautiful and any imperfections are lost when framed- beautifully framed. Selling Unframed! Shipping: Shipping ONLY to the USA 48 contiguous States. No European Delivery.
