Alumilite Dye, also known as Resin Colorant, will evenly color your entire end-product; and the color cannot be scratched or worn off like surface paint. Simply add a little powder to both the A and B bottle of your resin (7 grams of dye for every 28 ounces of resin) to achieve a gunmetal grey color for your finished product. Add less powder (4 grams) to achieve a lighter grey, and more powder (7 grams) to achieve a lustrous ebony black. Apart from the color, your resin will be unaffected. It will have the same shelf-life and you can sand and polish your end-product to a high-gloss. The only side-effect is that the resin will take a few extra minutes to cure--which will give you more time to mix and pour your mold.
