They were used on early Weaver freight cars, especially hopper car kits. If you wish to convert Weaver 2 rail trucks for 3 rail operation, here is a quick and easy way to do it. Just flex your truck side frames a bit, pop the axles out and replace with these. Do you have some Weaver freight cars that you plan to sell? If so, you can keep the metal wheel sets and sell them with these low cost plastic ones. You can also use these wheel sets to convert Athearn trucks.
