Produced from 1987-1998, the Stratocaster Plus was a premium model designed to showcase the skills of Fender's new Corona, CA factory. This Strat Plus features a trio of Lace Sensor pickups, a Wilkinson roller nut, two-point vibrato with block saddles, Schaller locking tuners, and a Hipshot Tremsetter (currently uninstalled). A resonant and lively instrument, this alder-bodied Strat is the perfect tonal platform for the trio of USA-made Lace Sensor pickups (all Golds). The Lace Sensor Gold was designed to recreate a classic '50s single coil sound with a glassy bell-like quality. The Lace pickups feature a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, yielding a wider tonal range and better string balance than traditional guitar pickups. This guitar weighs 8lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
