Produced at the Chu Shin factory in Japan and uncommon outside of its country of origin, this ‘80s Superstrat is built to shred with a basswood body, quartersawn maple neck, slab rosewood fretboard, HSS pickup complement, and Floyd Rose-licensed JT6 tremolo. The pickup complement includes a Jackson J50BC ceramic magnet humbucker in the bridge position, and two J200 stacked single coils in the middle and neck. The Model 4's active circuitry features individual on/off toggles for each pickup, with an active Mid-boost knob to punch up the sound. This Model 4 offers crisp, authoritative cleans, and focused crunch in high-gain scenarios. Weighing 8lbs 4oz, this Charvel has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
