With autograph manuscript signed notes by Enoch Huggins, reflecting American Restorationist (early Mormon) religious beliefs, including the affirmation of baptism by full immersion, baptismal regeneration, apostasy, and "against women speaking in the assembly." Original early American sheepskin binding. Quite rare. The last copy traced at auction sold in 1924. Provenance: Enoch Huggins (1799-1869), Early American Restorationist. Born in New Hampshire, he married Irena (Nevens) Huggins in 1821 in the State of Vermont. He acquired this Bible on November 12th, 1823. The family traveled with Joseph Smith to the State of Illinois, where Huggins spent the remainder of his life.
