11.5” Mohair Teddy Bear from British Artist Stacey Lee Terry Bo-Bear Designs

Description: You are bidding on a very sweet 11.5” mohair teddy bear by British artist Stacey Lee Terry from Bo-Bears. From a British website: “Stacey Lee Terry is a teddy bear artist from England making bears under the name Bo Bears. She started making bears in 1988, designing every bear herself, with wild bears being the inspiration for her creations. She usually makes limited edition and one of a kind teddy bears…She uses an industrial machine to make the body of the bear and finishes by hand. Typical Stacey Lee Terry bears are usually made of mohair, have glass eyes and hand embroidered noses.” I purchased this bear in 1990 in Stamford, England, making this one of her very early creations. His paper tag, which has been removed but will be included, indicates he is named Ticbury. He is in excellent used condition with no holes, stains, tears, repairs or odors. He is a fully jointed bear made of bronze mohair with glass eyes and brown leather paws. His nose and mouth are stitched in black. He seems to be filled with fiberfill, but it is not indicated on the tag. I am downsizing my lovingly acquired artist teddy bear collection over the next couple of months, so please see my other listings―maybe you’ll find the perfect centerpiece for a spring basket. These bears are in excellent used condition, and have only been displayed (not played with) since purchase in my smoke-free (but NOT pet-free) home.
